Longinos and Loukios lived at the monastery of The Ennaton located in the outskirts of Alexandria.

The parchment codex M 579 with the Life of the ascetics Longinus and Lucius comes from the monastery of the Archangel Michael near Hamuli in the Fayum and now belongs to the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York. The date of production of this manuscript falls most likely into the 9th century..
