Gloriosas itidem passiones trium germanarum Chioniae et Irenis atque Agapae, quae sub confessionis titulo et sanctae virginitatis praeconio pari tripudio triumpharunt [...]
[...] duae ex illis in torrida crepitantis pyrae incendia trusae, una faretrarum spiculis sauciata cum virginitatis palma et martirii corona paradisi praemia possessurae et cum CXLIV milibus virginalem melodiam modulaturae ad Christum pariter perrexere.
'In the same way, let us write out, even in the simple characters of our manuscript, the glorious passions of the three sisters CHIONIA and IRENE and AGAPE, who, by the renown of their suffering and the glory of their holy virginity, triumphed with a similar joy [...]
[...] Two of them were thrust into the scorching flames of a crackling pyre; the other was killed with arrows from quivers: and so they went together to Christ to take possession of the rewards of Paradise with their palm of virginity and their crown of martyrdom, and to hymn the virginal melody in the company of the one hundred and forty-thousand virgins.'
