The document is written and signed by various members of the clergy who acknowledge to the monastic community of Apa Patermouthios that due to the demand of the hegoumenos Apa Biktor, most likely the abbot of the monastery of Apa Phoibammon, they have agreed to settle their dispute with them and produced this document as proof and security.

The beginning of the document reads as follows:

] ⲙ̣ⲛ ⲡⲁⲡⲁⲥ ⲡⲇⲓⲁ(ⲕⲟⲛⲟⲥ) [ⲧⲉⲛⲥ]ϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲕⲉⲛⲱⲧⲏⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛⲁⲡⲁ ⲡⲁⲧⲉⲣⲙⲟⲩⲑⲓⲟⲥ

‘] and Papas, the deacon, [we are] writing to the whole community of the brothers of Apa Patermouthios.’
