Fragment of a marble plaque. Preserved dimensions: H. 0.24 m; W. 0.55 m; Th. 0.065 m. Letter height 0.05 m. First recorded by Antonio Ferrua in cubiculum Ee of the Cemetery of Callistus. Published by Ferrua in 1964.

Discussion

The inscription probably described the location of the tomb as 'in the Cemetry of Callistus.' Cf. E04729: conpa[ra]bit sibi arco[so]lium in Callisti / 'he prepared the tomb (arcosolium) for himself in the Cemetery of Callistus.' Dating: Antonio Felle (in EDB) dates the inscription to the 4th c.
