This very fragmentary letter seems to have been sent from the monastery of Apa Apollo to the hands of a deputy (topoteretes). The reason for this message remains obscure.
Line 5 reads as follows:
ⲛⲡⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ [ⲁⲩⲡⲱ]ⲧ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϫⲉ ϣⲁⲛⲡⲣⲟⲥⲕⲩⲛ[ⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ?]
'… for the saint. [They hurried?] to us, since we regularly worship [him?] …'
