This document (part of the Apion Archive) lists the annual income and expenditure of large estates in wheat and money, dating prior to the year AD 566. Among the entries are many concerning expenses paid for village churches (lines 115–118), as well payments made to an institution dedicated to Michael, line 119:
εἰς τὸν ἅγι(ον) Μιχαήλιον (ἀρτάβαι) δ νο(μίσματος) γ´
'To saint Michael, 4 artabas, 1/3 of a solidus.'
